I have idea, if somebody know how on server could implement that base capture would work if you destroy/kill the base it would be showned

on HC universum map, i think that would make some more fun into the game cause, clans could also fight than too control normal bases [/url]

If this would be in near future possible, i have also new idea:

If clan that have reputation tag infront of their names(offical clans), shoot the base, the base would change ownership of that base too that clan (if possible that would be some backup clan reputation which would be hostile with enemy clans and the rest neutral: like freelancers and new clans) That means if clan would shoot down malta docking ring it wouldnt belong too Outcasts anymore but it would belong too Clan, so if enemy clan would wanna dock, they would be forced too shoot down docking ring too get ownership.

Its idea, that would be probably quite hard too implement or nearly impossible but nothing is impossible if u dont try =).

This would start realy colony war for territory, that would last everyday Very Happy

Whats with Freelancers ? They couldnt dock anywhere then if all bases belongs to a ingame Faction Razz .

I have a better one.

Your idea is quite terrifying, because (as CatDog mentioned) freelancers would be oppressed. No freelancer could do any trading anymore or just exploring the FL universe. Also the idea of setting every freelancer to neutral status regarding clans would be quite a lot of work for the clans, because it's much less work to set some players to neutral or friendly rep instead of setting dozens and dozens of players hostile or friendly.

So I see an alternative:

Every sector gets 1-3 new bases (the number can reflect the "importance" of the sector) just for "capturing the base". These bases simulate the conquest of the factions involved in the battle. Here no freelancer will be annoyed or oppressed.

In my opinion this would be a better way to realize such capturing throughout the Sirius system.


PS: But the basic idea is refreshing... definitely worth a thought.

Taggart you saw this ? Well option could be also that clans would be default neutral too every new player and add hostile reps according too player reputation with clan and if freelancers would be hostile they could shoot down docking ring and docking ring would again for example belong too npc faction. just idea.

Not base i meant clan hehe, but simple would be if clans would be default neutral too new players, and they would add friendly/hostile rep later

no, thats of no interest to clans here on this server.
It would be too easy for any clan to create new and unhacked chars, dock them on bases of hostile clans and then attack these bases "from inside" by docking off, shooting, dieing, doking off, shooting, dieing and so on.

The intention of the hacking system would be underrun.
It is of no interest for clans to have "default neutrals" because of protection of the clan bases.
Just leave it as it is and everything is fine.
Create a clan, get a rep, send your diplomats and politely ask for friendship or neutral status and we can discuss the relations between our clans.
That's how it works
