I made some perfomance analysis on the FLServer out of curiosity.
Testing environment was 2 Players fighting each other near Crete for ~5Min. That's not quite realistic but i can't have much more people playing while the profiler is running. I think the results are interesting nonetheless.

(The percentage shown within the node is the percentage of time which was spent inside the function-body)

My interpretation:
The time spent in IServerImpl::ElapseTime is mainly AI-related. Thus approx. 40% of cpu time was consumed by AI routines(function body + some of the child functions which were called inside AI-functions).
Physics engine took approx. 15%.
IServerImpl functions(functions called in reply to user-sent pakets + netcode for receiving pakets) took 25%.
5% netcode for sending pakets
