With a drop rate of 2/100 , a min lvl 72 to hunt and lvl 19 nomads that's nearly impossible to be taken alone.

If you are trying to decide if you are gonna buy the weapon or not, you have to ask yourself "does it take longer to get the money or the nomad?" (in the discussion of is it worth the money or not).

And falcon simply agreed that you should ask yourself this.

Makes perfect sense.

Over a long time period.. its easier to get the Money.. and not that frustrating.. Nearly everybody who was or is hunting Prototypes noticed at some time that he is very frustrated and hunting protos suchs really bad.
Only over a long time period of hunting you will realize how annoying and frustrating the hunt can be. You might get 1 or 2 with luck really soon.. but luck also runs out and statistics become real

And then you get really annoyed!

Especially because you almost cant hunt them alone.. you have to count the alternative missions twice because for the hunting you also have to pay minimum 2 pilots.
So 1 hour hunting -> statisticly 2.. but in reality almost 1 prototype.. (sometimes even not that)
That would be a lucky szenario.. if you look at realistic numbers.. like 10 hours.. you get.. almost 3 maybe 4.(Balla and Just could give more precily numbers)
Soo.. 2 pilots, 10 hours missi flying.. -> 20hours Missi flying -> minimum 60mio credits. (+ useful loot)
3 or 4 protos with normal price of 15mios = 45 or 60mios. Without loot, without guarantee.. only served with frustration!.. and panthomdrops which make you damn happy.. and you realising its just a lvl4 or 5 shield!! No kidding.. that happens often because that pms nomads in dublin also kill those little npcs..

The price niveau wasnt set without reason. Many calculated that way.

well just and me were fastest i bet and we had some nice tricks
although sometimes it was a bit frustrating Razz

so we farmed about 15/16 protos in 12 hours..
from what i heard the normal ratio for 2 players is 1 proto= 1,5-2 hours

so that would be 3-4 hours time for missions making wich result in about 12 mios credits, so if you have fun in doing missions instead of hunting nomads you buy them .. at a similar prize Twisted Evil

btw we sold all prototypes

... and you can guess why i bought texmex protos Razz

customers are already storming the frontdoor ! but i wasnt in the mood to go dub and webmissions are up again

Indeed its one of the hardest hunt you can do in HC, thats why i do it and i do it alone. I mastered the Battle ships in unknown, and now i mastered the Dublin unknown they are so easy so i do it alone. I do it for the time and i do it because its fun for me.

I have seen 4 people trying to hunt them they all go in group and quit, i do it alone and succeed there are tricks like setup of guns, as in the unknowns, and how to shoot them down, and well with some luck i got 2 guns in 20 min. Lucky me

And yes its worth the money, you get the money faster then trying to hunt if you don't know how, specially if you do it solo.

But well.. dont underestimate the great feeling and honor when you are flying with those protos you hunted yourself. For me its more fun in my GunSoBD ^^
