Since the Event today did not take place due to lack of participants, because no one read the Announcement thread,
i'll make a thread for everty event from now on.
Smuggler hunt will now take place next friday, 02.03.2012 at 21:00 Server time.
Okay about the Smuggler Hunt event:
1 or 2 players are smugglers and have to fly to 2 (or more) checkpoint systems.
After that they have to fly to the target system and dock at a certain base there.
The other participants hunt the Smugglers and try to kill them.
The number of smugglers and checkpoints depends on the number of participants.
The checkpoints are only known to the smugglers, the target system is also known to the hunters,
but they may not enter it until at least one smuggler has all checkpoints and is only 1 system away from the target.
During this event there is no respawn, if you die, you are out.
If you earned some money during the event (checkpoints etc), you will recieve it then.
A smuggler gets 0,5 mil for every checkpoint reached and for every hunter they were able to kill.
IF he/she is able to reach the target system and dock there, he/she will rechieve 1 mil for that.
A hunter who kills a smuggler gets 1 mil. But only the killer will recieve the money, so the hunters have to compete to get the kill.
They may NOT kill each other. Hunters may make teams to block holes/gates and part the money.
General Rules:
- NO Cannonball/Sunslayer/Firestalker/Paralyzer!
- NO Double Missile/Missile + Torp
- For Hunters only Class 10 Ships.
- Smugglers may use every ship they like, e.g. when they want to evade hunters and use an fast and agile ship for that. They should use fighters, not freighters. At least it is more interesting then when they have a better chance to kill hunters.
- Reloading AFTER PvP is allowed, so if your radar is clear you may reload. |

Okay it was a really nice event, although it was a bit hard to get enough participants. In the end we were 7 participants, so it was possible to do the event with me as a second smuggler.
Smugglers: Tritor, Mormegil (Dromedary and Dagger, so both were not really able to fight)
Hunters: Scalper, Cactus, Judge, Satinless, Fuchs
Both Smugglers managed it to get both Checkpoints and finally docked at the target system. Some times the hunters were really close to them and i even saw Fuchs when i just entered docking vid.
THANKS to all participants. All of them donated their prizes for future events, except Tritor who took the 2 mil^^
(Annotation: I offered 200k for every hunter who participated.)
I hope you will participate in future events, too. |

Ja das war doch recht interessant diese Jagd. Es hat viel Spass gemacht, zumal die Schmuggler eine eher ungewöhnliche Route gewählt haben, die es uns ermöglichte unsere Jäger besser positionieren, da fast jeder von uns sich mal veflogen hatte zu Beginn. Wir waren knapp dran aber leider hatten wir es nicht geschafft, ich kam nur paar Sekunden zu spät.
Beim Schmuggler Event mache ich wieder mit.
